Crane Qi Gong

Qi (energy) Gong (work) is a powerful system of healing and energy medicine. It works with the body’s Qi along the meridian system, the same one used in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Qi Gong helps release the energy blockages between meridian points through a series of exercises and visualizations which gather and circulate the energy flow.

While Qi Gong has been practiced for thousands of years, and thousands of forms of it exist, Crane Qi Gong is relatively recent. Created by Master Zhao Jin-Xiang in 1979, Crane Qi Gong has been adapted to the modern world, and as such, it quickly became one of the most popular forms in China, with over 20 million people practicing it.

Crane Qi Gong consists of five sets of gentle movements which are combined with a visualization of the flow of Qi energy. The movements, which simulate the movements of the crane, are easy to learn and to memorize.

A regular daily practice, through clearing the meridian system, helps to balance the body and mind. The effects of a Crane Qi Gong practice may be an improvement in physical and emotional health, however, it is not a substitute for medical care.
