May 2017 News

The cherry blossoms have shown up and plants, trees and flowers are blooming. It’s a beautiful sight and for some, a challenging time for allergies. Scents and Perfumes at Source Centre Practitioners, patients and practice members at Source are often affected by pollen, smoke, and perfumes. To ensure the best possible air quality at Source, we have been using salt crystal lamps and nebulizers to purify the air. Effective May 1, we are going scent-free to further improve air quality at Source. Scents from natural sources such as essential oils can still be used. If you normally apply perfumes or colognes, we ask that you wait until you have completed your visit at Source before applying. Ask us more about the benefits of going scent-free. Babysitting at Source Centre As a new father, I know how important it is to care for your baby all the time. And that includes during your entrainment time! Starting Monday May 1, Source Centre will be offering complimentary babysitting in the reception room every Monday from 11:00am – 1:00pm. Now you can get and entrained AND have your baby cared for. Breathing Classes using SRI It’s back by popular demand. Lana is back and will be leading Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI) classes on Mondays at 6:30pm right after entrainments complete. Classes are included with everyone’s care plan with Dr. Leo. Classes are 20 minutes in length and will cover 1 stage of SRI. The first class starts Monday May 15. Please reserve your seat with Rekha. Yoga Classes Lana now offers gentle Hatha yoga classes Mondays at 7:30pm. Classes are 60 minutes and begin Monday May 15 after Lana’s 6:30pm SRI class. Please reserve your seat with Rekha. It’s $10 and bring your own mat. Presence in Your Health It’s the cherry blossoms of High Park, Toronto Island, or Trinity Bellwoods. The arrival of a new life. Baby’s first words. Nothing brings you closer than being right there. It’s no different when it comes to your healing process. Healing requires you to be in the process, and putting energy into it. If you find yourself preoccupied during your entrainment and during periods of rest, you are missing a valuable opportunity to participate in your healing. Ask us how you can get more out of your entrainments and your rest time.   Yours in health, Dr....

April 2017 News

Oh wow, it’s April and the change of season is here! This month, we’re making your entrainments whisper-quiet and adding a new workshop. Whisper-Quiet Entrainment Room Last month, we talked about your healing being our first priority. At Source Centre, everyone has access to healing – everybody. To support your healing, we are making a small change from silence to whisper-quiet entrainments in the entrainment room. Our journals allow most people to write down their observations and questions about their health. When the journals are not accessible, we are happy to have a whisper-quiet conversation in the entrainments room instead. What does this all mean? We are keeping the entrainment room near-silent, and we are happy to speak with you before and after your entrainment. Traction Classes at Source What is traction? Dr. Leo is adding an additional technique to heal your spine. Starting this week, we are doing weekly traction classes at Source. The workshops are hands-on and in 15-30 minutes, you’ll be able to align your spine between your entrainments. Please schedule your traction class with Rekha. Yours in health, Dr. Leo  ...

March 2017 News

Happy March! This month, we talk about simplicity and focus. Simplicity: It’s About Focus It’s been 3 weeks of ruthlessly decluttering our new home. And the results are in. We have pared down our belongings by at least a quarter, even a third! It feels so good to have the space to breathe and move around. How did we get to here? Focus was the key. Forget multitasking: we couldn’t declutter while dealing with phone calls or emails. We had to focus our minds, our eyes, and our hands on just one thing – decluttering. Practicing focus over 3-4 weeks, my wife and I were able to unpack and store away things that serve a purpose and bring joy, and filter out things that did not. Because of the focus we brought to decluttering, we have way more living space. Plus our home has never looked better, and we finally feel home sweet home. Renewed Focus at Source Your healing is my first and only priority. To create the greatest possible focus and power during your entrainment and healing process, we are making a change at Source Centre. Starting Monday March 5, 2017, your entrainments will take place in silence. As soon as you enter the entrainment room and rest face down on the table, your entrainment begins. Your observations and questions are hugely important to your entrainment and healing process. To communicate any information or ask any questions, please write them on your travel cards before entering. I will carefully consider them as we proceed with your entrainment. We will have further opportunity to discuss your observations and questions during our reviews. In simplicity, focus, and health, Dr. Leo  ...

February 2017 News

Happy February! This month, we have a short message about simplicity. Keeping it Simple February has been inspiring for me to keep life simple. For me, it’s the right time to practice simplicity: a newborn child and my family is moving to a new apartment. So much is happening right now and it’s been really helpful to keep life simple. How? By having simple meals that come together quickly with few ingredients. By paring down our belongings 25%, by riding my bike to get to Source and break a sweat, and by seeing my Network Chiropractor to stay in optimal health. How is seeing a Network Chiropractor keeping it simple? Your nervous system coordinates the function and healing of every system in your body. When your nervous system is optimized by a Network Chiropractor, all your systems can function and heal optimally. It’s health care made simple. Yours in simplicity and in health, Dr. Leo    ...
